Noah's Daily Routine.
No day is the same:
But it usually has the same pattern. This is an in depth post about what my child gets up to on a daily basis.
The morning starts between 7-10 (This differs on how he slept the night before and what time he went down. This also affects his naps through the day and what time he goes down. So for this post i'll write about this morning.
This morning Noah woke up at 10am, he didn't really have a great night sleep, neither did mummy and daddy really..
10.00am: Anyway after we got up, he was changed and we played with his toys until he started shouting for his milk.
10.25am He had his first bottle which was around 5oz. While drinking we sat in bed and watched an episode of Curious George on Netflix.. These only last around 20 Minutes so he can sit in bed, cuddled up while mummy and daddy can sort out clothes for the day and get everything ready.
10.45 After Curious George had finished, he got dressed into a red long sleeved top with thick wool dungarees and wrapped in a blanket to get into the car.
11.00am We ran some errands which really Noah stayed in the car for so not really interesting. In this time he would usually have a bit more bottle and a little sleep. (Not really a nap as any motion puts him to sleep)
12.20pm and we're home again. More playtime. He sat in his walker while mummy and daddy made lunch for us all, and pulled faces as we walked around.
12.30pm For his lunch today, he gets a baby food jar. I am determined to get him to try a massive variety of flavours. So this afternoon he had a small portion of Heinz Mango Chicken curry with bits for 7 months+. But as he now has started getting teeth, he loves chewing bits. As it was a small portion, I also gave him a Muller light strawberry yogurt. He only had a quarter of this too.
You may be thinking.. why the hell would we give him a 'grown up yogurt' instead of a baby yogurt like munch bunch or Petit Filous. The main reason.. The sugar!!
Petit Filous (47g) has: 11.2g of sugar per 2 pots whereas:
Muller Light Strawberry bits (175g) has: 7.1g of sugar
See my point? Plus the Muller light pots are bigger, giving more meals! Noah would munch through 2 Petit Filous in one sitting but only a quarter of Muller light!
And to make this situation worse.. Petit Filous have this on their website.. Petits Filous fromage frais provides your child with the goodness of calcium and Vitamin D, which as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle, are critical for strong bones.
It may have this amount of calcium and Vitamin D, but it fails to mention the sugar content. I'll stick to giving Noah the healthy alternative.
Anyway I kind of went off the mark. So going back to Noah's daily routine:
1pm: Playtime. Today this involves his much loved rattle, a small mickey mouse and a massive Christmas pud teddy. Its bigger than his head!! A bum change and a small 2oz of milk.
2pm: Nap time. Cuddled up with mummy in bed. So i got a cheeky hour nap. (When you become a parent, then you'll understand). Mummy's do you agree?
3pm: Wake up, bum change, and more playtime. He really likes to see what me and Chris are doing at the moment. (He even sat through a half hour episode of Eastenders the other day!!). So today he was taking selfies with mummy, checking social media with her and replying to texts and emails. He then watched Daddy on the play station.
5pm: Noah had precious daddy/son time while mummy cleaned. So can't really tell you what happened then... I wasn't there.
7pm: Had 7oz bottle, had another bum change and got dressed for bed. Tonight he is supporting a Daddy's little man sleep suit. I'll give you 2 guesses who picked his pajamas. Then began more playtime. This child loves to play and interact. He hates no noises and he hates when mummy and daddy have a conversation without him.
9pm: Sat with Grampy watching the darts cuddling up with a bottle and dozing!
9.30pm Fast asleep! I carried him to his bed and he woke up. So I put his musical box on (it's a wind up one which plays a small soft tune) and hes out within a minute.
9.55pm he's started moaning through the monitor, I went to put a dummy in his mouth to see if it settles him back off.
9.57pm He didn't settle.. so he's now on my lap as i type this.
10pm: Hes now puked on me.. Lovely! It stinks!
As I've caught up with time, The next paragraph will be written in a future tense.
He'll have another bum change now, a bit more bottle and more playtime. He'll fall asleep for the night about midnight. Wake up once or twice for a bottle, which he has in bed with him or a dummy and he'll go straight back off. To wake up for around 9am, and we'll do it all over again.
So this is Noah's Daily routine. If obviously differs from day to day. We'll usually go out shopping or for lunch or go to the park. He'll have a bath at 7pm, but that's only once every 2 days. Or the worse case scenario, he'll be in a lot of pain and would scream most of the day. But we live as each day comes and what it brings us, and hope each day is as happy as this one.
Come say Hi?!
