Nanny, Nanny and Uh Nanny?

My child has so much family.. It's hard to keep up with names!

He has at least 5 Nannies! My mum, Chris' Mum, and our Nans themselves. So we took it upon ourselves to create different variations to help him when he gets older.

So he has my mum.. Nanna
Chris' Mum.. Nanny
One of my Nans.. Big Nanny. Ironically shes about 5ft tall. But that's what all the grandchildren have called her and its stuck with Noah.
Other one of my Nans.. GG. Short for Great Grandmother. But she refuses to be called a grandmother so it was shortened down.
Lastly Chris' Nan is Nanny and a cute pet name.

We don't have the same confusion for Grampies though its just Big Grampy and Grampy. The latter being my father.

When i was growing up, the area I lived in influenced what I called my grandparents. Growing up in Wales I referred to my male grandparents as Bampy and Grampy. To this day I will still refer to these names. It makes life 10 times easier.

But for Noah the family gets bigger and more creative names have to be made. So he doesn't grow up thinking, Nanny, Nanny and Uh Nanny.

Do you and your family use different variations? Or is it a simple equation?

Until Next time..
